Arleen Stern has been working with the elderly and their families for over twenty years. She was Director of Outreach at New York Services for Older People, Inc. (SPOP) and Rehabilitation Coordinator at the Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged in Manhattan.
She has written and lectured widely on issues involving the elderly. Ms. Stern is coauthor of Developing Bereavement Support Groups: A Guide for New Leaders (AARP Grief and Loss Programs, 1999). Ms. Stern's work has been quoted in the New York Times and mentioned on radio and in Modern Maturity magazine.
She is a licensed social worker and has an MSW from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. Ms. Stern is also a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, Inc.
